Article Evaluation Process

Article Evaluation Process

In the evaluation of submitted articles, it operates a two-stage process: editorial internal review and external referee evaluation. Immediately after the article is accepted, the Editor-in-Chief checks the article for compliance with the purpose and scope of the journal and adherence to ethical standards in research and writing. Afterwards, he directs the articles in accordance with the journal's publication policy to the Assistant Editor for editorial review. The first internal referee is selected from among the Associate Editors. The Assistant Editor reviews the article for compliance with journal writing rules and submits the article to Turnitin scanning for plagiarism. In this process, the identity of the internal referee is open to the author and the identity of the author is open to the referee. Afterwards, the other two internal referees are selected from among the members of the Editorial Board. Internal referees evaluate the article in terms of its subject, method and results and decide whether it should be included in the detailed evaluation process. During the external evaluation phase, two external referees are selected by the Field Editor among experts who have research on the subject of the article. If the expert who has worked on the article cannot be found, the referees are determined from among the researchers who have a doctorate in that field. The referees evaluate the article in detail in terms of its subject, method and results and express their opinions on whether it should be published or not.

If both referee reports are positive, the work is accepted for publication with the decision of the Editor-in-Chief. If one of the two referees has a negative opinion, the study is sent to a third referee. Studies are accepted for publication with the positive decision of at least two referees. Accepted work is read for the last time by the Editor-in-Chief. Then it is sent to English language control. Articles ready for publication are published with referee reports.
