Abstract

One of the institutions that reflect the characteristics of Islamic civilization is hospitals. These institutions, which have been called by different names such as “bîmâristan darüşşifa, şifahane” in the historical process, also show the level of development of the societies they belong to and the value they give to living things. The Adudi hospital, which was established in Baghdad in the heyday of Islamic civilization and set an example for the following, is an important example in terms of reflecting the features we mentioned. The work named “History of Adudî Hospital with Biographies”, which was copyrighted by Ahmet GÜNER, one of the experts in the field, for the promotion of this institution; It is important both to introduce this institution and to show the level of development related to its period. In order to evaluate the work; Subjects such as the place of hospitals within the institutions of Islamic civilization, the knowledge of the author of the work on the subject, the importance of the study for the promotion of the health institutions established in the relevant period were emphasized.
