Abstract

When we look at the historical adventure of human beings, religion has been one of the basic building blocks of society. Relıgıon: It is "the belief of a person in a superior power or principle on which his destiny depends, the mental and moral attitude that is the result of this belief and that can create a rule of life".

This study, which deals with the relationship between religion and medicine from the perspective of secularization, consists of four parts. In the first chapter, the relationship between religion and health in general, medicine and secularization in particular, and the conceptual and theoretical framework related to the subject are presented. It is a known fact that scientific developments cause many changes in human life. The author evaluated the effect of this change on religion within the framework of the concept of secularization. In the second part, the method of the study is explained. A field study was conducted by applying a quantitative research model. In the third chapter, the findings obtained from the field research are discussed. In the fourth and last part, it was determined that the secular attitude levels of the physicians were higher than the nurses. The aim of this study was to determine the secular attitude levels of healthcare professionals. However, the author argues that this study should not be limited to health professionals only, and that different data will emerge with the inclusion of other professional groups in these studies.
